My sweet Lorelei,
Papa and I went to your house over the weekend And you guys are just so sweet. You always make me such beautiful cards. Sometimes you mail them and sometimes you wait until I come down. They are always so thoughtful.
Your dad was telling me a story about a mouse and her babies in his outside furniture and he couldn’t catch her, So I thought I’ll have Lorelei come out and help me. So of course you did, and you got the mouse and babies in a bucket. You wanted to release them just on the other side of the pool, but your dad wasn’t having that so you walked them down to the end of the road and dump them in the grass. You went down later in the mouse and her babies were gone, but one baby was left behind so you carried it home to show your dad and of course he said no, get that mouse back down there and leave it! You are quite the character
When we were there, there was a box turtle that got hit on the road so you carried it home and you were Going to nurse it back to health. Well the darn turtle kept getting in the swimming pool and he ended up drowning because it was a box turtle. You were sure upset.
At one point, we were talking about your dad and you said he is very responsible! And then at another point we were talking about him and I said he sure is good with all the kids and you said maybe because he’s like a kid himself! You and your daddy sure do get along pretty good
